Radio
KALX is the radio station of the University of California, Berkeley. It is operated by community members and students and is the best place to have fun in broadcast audio, it’s also one of the best stations in the world if you are a fan of the ‘left’ end of the dial.
From spinning records on air, to working in the 100,000 volume music library to producing material for radio there’s lots to do in OUR station.
I host a regular weekly DJ show on the airwaves under the DJ name ‘Scratchy Vinyl’. If you'd like to see the kind of crap I'm playing, here's last week's playlist! http://www.kalx.berkeley.edu/programs/scratchy-vinyl/
And of interest to ukulele enthusiasts I host a monthly ukulele music hour on the Midnight Express Show which I call ‘Midnight Ukulele Express’.
We broadcast at 90.7 on the FM dial and if you are outside the Berkeley area KALX has a live web-stream at http://kalx.berkeley.edu/listen.htm.
