The danger of knowing how to work on vehicles is that it makes it very easy to own cars that need work. Henceforth I have owned a lot of vehicles, most of them fairly interesting and many of them British.

I extensively restored some of these and fixed what needed to be fixed on others. It’s been a few years since I’ve taken on a major automotive restoration project and hopefully it won’t happen again. The era of intelligently owning a 1960’s era daily driver classic British or American vehicle has passed, for better or for worse
