Light, simple, powerful and sparky. This is what an ideal soprano ukulele should be. This new Pohaku Soprano Ukulele is all that. It is constructed of lightweight quarter sawn Honduran Mahogany and finished in a matt finish with a tobacco sunburst. The fingerboard is rosewood, it uses tiny Mother of Pearl position dots and has small size fretwork for easy and precise fingering. The tuning is accurate with the 4:1 gear ratio Peg-Head planetary tuners and its set-up and intonation are excellent allowing you to play easily and in tune. The back is arched on both axis giving the back plate a slightly bowled shape. The nut is 1 7/16” wide. Overall the ukulele is about 21 1/2” long and weighs only 13 ounces.
The instrument comes in a hardshell case or in one of those zippered coffin shaped cases, your choice.
